| You can learn quilting by making this beautiful quilt! Each block teaches a different skill. You may start as a beginner, but after making all twelve blocks and learning twelve techniques you will be ready for anything that has to do with quilts.
Each month a new free pattern will be posted in the forum below on this page, and will be available for one month. You will need to join the website and then join this club to participate. Membership is free. If you miss a month or start in the middle you can buy old patterns for $1.00 USD each.
Join today and learn the basics of quilting, or hone your skills. Materials Needed:These instructions are for a twin bed sized quilt. To make a larger quilt, simply make more than one of each block. If you vary the fabrics or color placements for similar blocks, it will make the quilt more interesting. For each twelve blocks you will need:Red: 1 yard or 1 meterBlue: ½ yard or 0.5 meterYellow: ½ yard or 0.5 meterGreen: ¾ yard or 0.75 meterPurple: ½ yard or 0.5 meterWhite: ½ yard or 0.5 meter (cut this into three 14” squares, plus some scraps for log cabin block)Gray: ½ yard or 0.5 meter (cut one 14” square, plus some for log cabin and paper piecing)Plus scraps of dark blue and light blue for the log cabin block.
