How did you start quilting? - 03/10/2009
Members of Quilter's Crossroads tell stories of how they started quilting.In the old days, absolutely nothing was thrown out. My father was born in 1901 and Mama was born in 1907. When relatives moved to the Boston States (their way of speaking then), they would send home boxes or packages of new or slightly used clothes and as a huge family, we felt like we had won the lottery, and wore those clothes proudly. Quilt Guild Activities - 02/17/2009
Our quilt guild has an annual "birthday bash" where we each can select whether to participate or not. We who decide to participate (3/4 or more of our guild members do) pick a place for our party and also set a $20 dollar price for our gift for our birthday bash. We put everyone's name in a basket and draw names. Everyone who participates fills out a questionnaire about what they would like for their gift.
