What Readers love about quilting. - 12/30/2008
From looking at my stash, it's obvious I love fabric shopping!  But I also love piecing.  The quilting process gives me a bit of a problem sometimes, but I LOVE doing the bindings.  It gives me such a good feeling to get the backside whipped down full and smooth with tiny stitches.  It also means another completed project when the label is on and the documentation is done.  I love making quilts of any size for others, because I think about that person with almost every stitch, and it truly draws me closer to them in the process.   Thumbing...[Read article]
Managing your Housework - reader's tips - 12/30/2008
I have been to other quilter's houses. Some of these quilters are very productive, and yet their houses were clean and neat. How do they manage that? Comments: They probably knew you were coming and cleaned up before you got there. Some quilters are very organized, some don't have children in the home, some have husbands who don't mind cleaning up, some do not have jobs outside the home and budget time for housekeeping.
